Abstract
BAEZ GIL, Eduardo Yahair. The urban form of the Puebla city: the baroque and the modern. An approach from the ethos baroque. Tóp. Sem [online]. 2020, n.43, pp.153-181. Epub Aug 07, 2020. ISSN 2594-0619.
Puebla City has historically been transformed into its urban form, based on conflicting processes of spatial configuration. Since its hypodamic tracing in the colonial era, through the baroque and even to the city of our days, in constant growth, the city has assumed different identities. This article, in addition to making a timely and brief historical review, proposes a philosophical approach to the study of the Puebla City, about conceptually analyzing the budgets that try to define this city as a baroque and modern city. The analysis of the city from the critical urban theory allows us to understand that the city in its urban form is the space of conflicts and disputes of a modern capitalist project, to which the ethos barroco is proposed as an alternative.
