This article analyzes the intergenerationality of psychosocial trauma in sons and daughters and grandsons and granddaughters of victims of political violence. The main objective of the study was to understand the specific ways in which the traumatic events caused by political prison and torture, forced disappearance and political execution are transmitted by women and men victims of the civil-military dictatorship, and how they are integrated into the lives of the second and third generation of victims’ relatives, forty years after the Chilean coup.
