Abstract

MORALES HUITZIL, Vidzu. The Catoptromance of Mnemosyne is not the Pendulum of Clio!: Is it Possible to Speak of Post-Memory as History?. Tóp. Sem [online]. 2021, n.45, pp.21-29.  Epub Mar 01, 2021. ISSN 2594-0619.

This work aims to elucidate if it is viable to talk about a historical postmemory collectively constituted, that is, can a past event converge, like a remembrance, in the general constructs of society? Facing this questioning, this article will be divided into two sections: a) critique to postmemory as history; b) possibility of knowing the past as a historical process.

Keywords : History; memory; collectivity.
