Abstract

GILARDI, Pilar. Opening and Closing of Mood Temples: the Case of Psychic Illness. Tóp. Sem [online]. 2023, n.49, pp.89-105.  Epub Jan 30, 2023. ISSN 2594-0619.

In the present article, we analyze the Heideggerian attempt to rethink the foundations of psychiatry, in particular, from the phenomenon of moods (Stimmung). We focus on the period of Being and Time and immediately subsequent texts such as What is Metaphysics? and The Fundamental Concepts of Metaphysics. World, finitude, solitude. Heidegger himself takes up these works in the Zollikon Seminars, where he directly raises the possibility of the link between his thought and the object of psychiatry.

Keywords : Mood; Affective disposition; Psychiatry; Mental illness; Freedom.
