Abstract

HERNANDEZ-CRUZ, KH; CORDOVA-CAMPOS, O; GARCIA-FIGUEROA, G  and  GARCIA-PEREZ, F. Asexual propagation of Bursera glabrifolia (Sapindales: Burseraceae) under various agronomic growing conditions. Biotecnia [online]. 2022, vol.24, n.2, pp.120-126.  Epub May 19, 2023. ISSN 1665-1456.  https://doi.org/10.18633/biotecnia.v24i2.1513.

Due to the importance of Bursera glabrifolia in Oaxaca State for alebrijes elaboration, the research was carried out with the objective of evaluating the taking of B. glabrifolia cuttings based on two planting dates (December 5 and March 26), four substrates (proportions of soil without agricultural use: vermicompost: 100:0, 75:25, 50:50 and 25:75) and five planting depths (5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 cm). The experiment was carried out under a 2×4×5 factorial experimental design with a completely randomized arrangement. With this, it was found that the cuttings planted in March had a favorable response compared to those established in December. Planting at a depth of 5 cm improved the taking of cuttings at the sowing date of March. In turn, it was observed that the date and depth of propagation is an important factor to consider since the survival of the new plants depends on it.
