Abstract

SANCHEZ ORDONEZ, Eruin Alonso. Ratio, proportion and proportionality: from the anthropological theory of didactics perspective. Relime [online]. 2013, vol.16, n.1, pp.65-97. ISSN 2007-6819.

There are some kinds of situations which are fully developed such as the distribution of a heritance or a prize when teaching ratio and proportions. This article analyzes, with an intervention research, the system of practice that is used by students from 7th grade in elementary school when solving a deployment of proportional distribution. The exercise was to divide a prize into four people, who contributed with different amounts in the initial investment. It also shows how the concepts of ratio, proportion and proportionality are used to solve a problem on a theoretical and methodological basis by using the Anthropological Theory of Didactics (ATD).

Keywords : Proportional distribution; System of practice; ATD.
