Abstract

ANGULO MARCIAL, Noel. The quotation in academic writing. Innov. educ. (Méx. DF) [online]. 2013, vol.13, n.63, pp.95-116. ISSN 1665-2673.

In academic writing the authors use the quote to account for the relationship between their written and other texts that have served as reference and to describe the sources from which they obtained the ideas, so that their readers can analyze and evaluate their work and verify the data and information on the subject. However, it is considered necessary to explore the rationality in the dialogic process of writing and its potential as an integral part in the process of knowledge construction.

Keywords : Quote; academic writing; intertextuality; knowledge construction.
