Abstract

ADAM-MEDINA, M. et al. Fault detection in a heat exchanger using second order sliding mode observers. Rev. Mex. Ing. Quím [online]. 2013, vol.12, n.2, pp.327-336. ISSN 1665-2738.

This paper presents the results of the implementation of a fault detection scheme in temperature sensors using second order sliding mode observers. The implementation of fault detection system was developed in a double pipe heat exchanger with counter-current flows. Also it was developed a monitoring system which shows the thermodynamic process operation, where detection and troubleshooting is applied.

Keywords : fault detection; second order sliding mode observes; heat exchanger.
