Abstract

PRIETO GARCIA, Francisco; BOLARIN MIRO, Ana María; SANCHEZ DE JESUS, Félix  and  MENDEZ MARZO, María Aurora. Efecto del sistema de agitación sobre la codepositación de alúmina en recubrimientos de niquelado químico compuesto. Superf. vacío [online]. 2005, vol.18, n.1, pp.38-45. ISSN 1665-3521.

Electroless Ni-P composite coatings were obtained using three different techniques, in order to keep suspended alumina (Al2O3) particles, into the electroless bath. A mechanic system result better than air system than dispersant agent. For each case, it was used different concentration of alumina particles. In mechanic system, increases in stirring rate increases the number of co-deposited particles and provides a better distribution on the coated surface, which implies high hardness. The best coating was obtained with 10 g/l of alumina at 1450 r.p.m. The air system provides heterogeneity in properties on the composite coating. Increases in air flow increases the number of co-deposited particles, the best conditions was 76 ml/s. The use of a dispersant agent is a good option in order to obtain a homogeneous particle dispersion. The best concentration was 0.0875 g/L.
