Abstract

ESCOBEDO DELGADO, Martín. Ideas, valores y medios: La evolución del discurso político en Zacatecas, 1808-1812. Sig. his [online]. 2008, vol.10, n.20, pp.45-82. ISSN 1665-4420.

In the historiography about the topic of Mexico's Independence, the general studies provide an outlook that is useful to analyze the complex process from an articulating horizon; nevertheless, the regional studies are essential to lend meaning to the global interpretations. In accordance with this, the present essay pretends to show what happened in Zacatecas between 1808 and 1812 in political discourse. This period is crucial because in political discourse, opposing and complementary political ideas superimpose while confronting in the public spaces: the fidelista discourse, liberal and autonomous coexist and confront one another within a region of mining vocation that enriches with its peculiarity, the novohispanic political discourse.

Keywords : Political Discourse; debate; propaganda; political culture; communication circuit.
