Abstract

MENDEZ REYES, Jesús  and  VELAZQUEZ MORALES, Catalina. Brokers on the northern border of Mexico during the Revolution (1913-1923): trade steady in markets of war. Sig. his [online]. 2011, vol.13, n.25, pp.08-41. ISSN 1665-4420.

The markets of goods and services, the capitals, and the labor in Mexico suffered the battering of the revolutionary process. Nevertheless they did not destroy them. The opportunities to do business in the country, abounded and diversified along the national territory. The commercial brokers were intermediaries of the trade and the transport, mediators who took advantage of the conditions of the conflict and the economy of war. They had large benefits for themselves and their military chiefs. We expose some studies of case of brokers in the north Mexican border and others regions during the Mexican Revolution.

Keywords : comercial mediators; war markets; northern border; mexican revolution; the military.
