Abstract

RODRIGUEZ TREVINO, Julio César. How to use the Analysis of Social Network for History Subjects. Sig. his [online]. 2013, vol.15, n.29, pp.102-141. ISSN 1665-4420.

The Analysis of Social Networks (ARS) is an interdisciplinary approximation that has had a rapid development in the last years, not only for the number of existing publications, but also for the variety of application fields and the computational tools available. This article has two intentions: first, to spread the use of technologies and analytical tools in the study of social networks in a simple form, and second, to show some examples of the ARS in the field of history. Principally the text seeks to extend the existing knowledge of the application of the notions of network in social aspects, hoping that researchers use these instruments as a starting point for future works.

Keywords : Graph; History; Matrix; Sampling; Social Network.
