The aim of this article is to explore the characteristics of the commercial shipping route between the ports San Francisco de Campeche and Santa María de Sisal in Yucatán and the piers in the Canary Island archipelago -Santa Cruz de La Palma, Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Las Palmas/Puerto de la Luz- during the 17th and 18th centuries. The commercial connections between the piers of the Canary Islands and the port of Campeche were reconstructed from the analysis of the route to the Indies and the transatlantic trails followed by both New Spain’s and Mainland province’s fleets, highlighting the process of the economic exchanges generated. I also emphasize the actions taken by merchants who operated from the Canary Island archipelago trading products such as Canarian wine, citrus fruits, yarn and fabrics, honey, almonds, soap and silk worms. Furthermore, I point out the way in which merchants who had settled in Campeche and Mérida sold dyes, spices and cotton fabrics to Canarian dealers, as well as the transfer of Mexican silver remittances.
