Abstract

MASJUAN, Eduard. Reivindicación, the defense of the Magonist Mexican Revolution by Spanish anarchism, 1914-1918. Sig. his [online]. 2020, vol.22, n.43, pp.186-219.  Epub June 30, 2020. ISSN 1665-4420.

This article deals with the debate over the economic and political nature of the Mexican Revolution represented by the Mexican Liberal Party within the Spanish Anarchism movement during the WWI years. Although this is not a widely known topic, new access to a wide variety of documents up to 1918 has allowed a more detailed analysis. This study enables the identification of some shared hopes, mutual solidarities and cultural transfers between Mexican and Spanish anarchism during those years. Thus, this text will explore the meaning and the historical transcendence of these movements, which share the goals of internationalism and the establishment of social justice.

Keywords : Ricardo Flores Magón; Joaquín Estruch; Regeneración; World War One; carrancismo; constitutionalism.
