ENCALADA CARDOSO, Ernesto Alonso. Foundling children of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception of the town of San Francisco de Campeche, 1638-1700. Sig. his [online]. 2020, vol.22, n.44, pp.182-215.  Epub Aug 01, 2022. ISSN 1665-4420.

The children exhibited in the village of San Francisco de Campeche during the Habsburg stage is a little-researched topic. As a consequence, this article raises the following question: What kind of patterns were given during the registration of children in the parish of Nuestra Señora de la Purísima Concepción of San Francisco de Campeche during the period from 1638 to 1700? This article has two main objectives: 1) identify the births that were registered at the Parish of Nuestra Señora de la Purísima Concepción in the village of San Francisco de Campeche during the period from 1638 to 1700, and 2) analyze the patterns of births that were typified as church’s children or foundlings in the village of San Francisco de Campeche during the Habsburg period.
