The Large Eddy Simulation approach is adopted in this work for numerical simulation of flow around a circular tubes bundle. The model uses a technique of immersed boundaries to represent the geometry of the tubes within the cartesian grid. The simulation is carried out in a zone far from the boundaries, where the flow may be considered as homogenous and therefore the three cartesian directions are considered periodic. The results are compared with experimental data in terms of mean velocity and turbulent quantities, showing a good agreement.
