The scope of this work is to provide updated information that helps to make a foresight of an energy efficiency program promoted by the Mexican Federal Government developed for household use in Mexicali, Baja California, named Programa de Ahorro Sistemático Integral (ASI). This study analyzes historical data from 1990 to present date. The evolution of the program is analyzed from historical information available and evaluates energy indicators. The effects on electricity consumption on the household sector during the development of the program are calculated. The impact over emission of greenhouse gases (GHG) and a comparative analysis of the different subprograms is made to determine its importance and projection towards 2017. Based on the results obtained, conclusions and recommendations are stated.
