Abstract

PALENCIA FRENER, Sergio. El movimiento maya estatal en Guatemala: lógica multicultural y reconfiguracion del capital. LiminaR [online]. 2011, vol.9, n.2, pp.134-148. ISSN 2007-8900.

This is a critic of the Guatemaltan Maya movement focused in the state. It analyzes the history of the counterrevolutionary state form and how the transition to civil governments and the peace accords process, promoted a multicultural discourse very distant from the land demands and popular reclaims. From the critic theory this work questions the mayan bureaucratic politics that take for granted the capitalist relations logic. With this purpose this work tries to open the state and capital critic from the possible revolutionary particularity of indigenous groups.

Keywords : state focused maya movement; indigenous social rebellion; state form; flux of domination; liberating activity; particularity in revolutionary openness.
