Abstract

LOPEZ, María Paz  and  TABORGA, Ana María. International Dimensions of Science and Technology in Latin America. Latinoamérica [online]. 2013, n.56, pp.27-48. ISSN 2448-6914.

This paper presents a literature review of the recent academic works dedicated to the study of the international dimensions of science and technology in Latin America. The contributions of the recent literature are organized in three topics: driving forces behind the internationalization of science and technology; indicative elements of internationalization in the current context; and tensions and debates about the international integration of science and technology in Latin America. The final reflections present the topics that have been less analyzed by the recent literature.

Keywords : Science and Technology; Internacionalization; Latin America; Social Studies of Science and Technology.
