Abstract

AZNAREZ CARINI, Gala; REYNARES, Juan Manuel  and  VARGAS, Mercedes. Political subjectivities and the first “Peronismo” in rural areas. Latinoamérica [online]. 2018, n.67, pp.145-172. ISSN 2448-6914.  https://doi.org/10.22201/cialc.24486914e.2018.67.57083.

Based on a political-discursive perspective, this paper analyses three letters sent by rural citizens with no political protagonism to President Juan Domingo Perón during his first tenure. We aim to investigate some dimensions of the Argentinean political phenomenon known as Peronismo. Parting from a theoretical redefinition of populism, we look into the specific modality of the political subjectivation process that underlies in these letters. Thus, we analyse in detail the way writer’s individual enunciation stands take form, the shifts and disruptions the official narrative caused on them, and the links between the authors and Peronista government. Our contribution opens a discussion with canonical perspectives of historical peronismo which suggest in those days a so called existence of a differentiation of a belligerent stage and a pacifying one in the late 40s.
