Abstract

Mexican environmental policy has been studied from differets approaches of public policy through relative control to more integrated politics. This last policies have been supported by international tendencies as the Cumbre de Rio in 1992. This research paper explain how Mexican Environmental Institutions have changed as the North American Free trade Agreement was signed and because of global institutions as United Nations, the Organization for the Economic Development and Cooperation and the World Bank. This have to deal with institutional capacity and Mexican institutional challenges to design, implement and finance environmental policies.
