Abstract

VILLARREAL MARTINEZ, María Teresa  and  ARANDA ANDRADE, Marco Antonio. Incidences of Pro-Democratic Organizations in Monterrey at the end of the 20th Century. An Approach from the Narratives of its Participants. Revista Col. San Luis [online]. 2022, vol.12, n.23, 00039.  Epub May 27, 2024. ISSN 2007-8846.  https://doi.org/10.21696/rcsl122320221463.

This article tries to understand the identity and actions of a part of the organized civil society of Monterrey, Nuevo León, in the 90s of the 20th century. It has a qualitative design based on two case studies, using as a strategy the narratives of participants in organizations in a shared context. As a result it identifies lines of action and community, civic, political and personal impact, even though there is an intentional sample selection may limit the range of inferences. It’s elevant given the lack of analysis of the topic. Refers to unexplored case studies and a conceptual precision with relevant and sufficient critical apparatus.

Keywords : civil society organizations; social movements; incidence; democratization; Monterrey.
