Abstract

HERNANDEZ LAOS, Enrique. Outlook of the Professional Labour Market in Mexico. Economía UNAM [online]. 2004, vol.1, n.2, pp.98-109. ISSN 1665-952X.

This is a quantitative review of structure, characteristics and education potential of professional labour market during he nineties. It warns about the growing market saturation process and its negative effects on incomes. Likewise, it quantifies the magnitude of professional educational offer by occupational groups in the short, medium and long term, which are analyzed according to their economic impact. The author states that in order to creating quality jobs, it is necessary that the country betters up substantially its economic growth so as to make the most of the increasing graduated students demanding the corresponding positions and incomes.
