Abstract

HERNANDEZ LAOS, Enrique. Productivity in Mexico: Origin and distribution, 1960-2002. Economía UNAM [online]. 2005, vol.2, n.5, pp.7-22. ISSN 1665-952X.

The author broadly examines Mexican productivity performance in the last four decades. After applying an accounting model of economic growth, not only he describes productivity trends in local economy, but he manage to separate its two key components: the impact of capital accumulation process by worker, and the effect from improved efficiency in resources use, which increases Total Factor Productivity.
