Abstract

TOKORO, Yasuhiro. Mexico and Japan: Prospects for the Economic Partnership Accord. Economía UNAM [online]. 2006, vol.3, n.7, pp.47-68. ISSN 1665-952X.

The economic Partnership Accord between Mexico and Japan was signed September 17, 2004 and went in to effect April 1, 2005. Official sources in both countries have stated that the importance of the agreement is creating a strategic partnership across the Pacific Ocean in a new period, which will consolidate bilateral trade, investment and economic cooperation through improving the businesses, etc., and will also take advantage of the two countries' mutually complementary makeup.
