Abstract
TELLO, Carlos. Economic stagnation, inequality and poverty: 1982-2009. Economía UNAM [online]. 2010, vol.7, n.19, pp.5-44. ISSN 1665-952X.
Since 1982, Mexico's development strategy changed from a State lead process of economic growth to a market oriented process. The change did not bring about the results that were expected, in terms of economic growth and income distribution. In the almost 30 years since 1982, GDP per capita in Mexico has practically remained stagnant, the distribution of income has not improved and the living conditions of the majority of the population have deteriorated.
