Abstract

In this essay we present the main characteristics of the most adequate option for an economic development model, before two historical circumstances: the failure of the neoliberal model initiated in 1983 and the wining of the general elections by a leftist party, contrary to neoliberalism in 2018. We argue that it is necessary for the new government to rebuilding the institutions for state intervention in the economy, that enable the State to take the economic policy measures in order to increase investment, both public and private and produce urgently an increase in the number of well-paid jobs in the country.
