Abstract

VAZQUEZ, Alejandro. The labyrinth of plurality. 50 years of recognition and exclusion policies directed to indigenous peoples in Mexico. Andamios [online]. 2019, vol.16, n.40, pp.37-56.  Epub May 18, 2020. ISSN 2594-1917.  https://doi.org/10.29092/uacm.v16i40.696.

The relationship of the State with the indigenous peoples in Mexico is labyrinthine, since it shows us over the years a great variety of discourses and actions that have gone from ignorance and assimilation to the discussion related to forms of legislative attention for the understanding of its plurality. In the present text the main political, institutional and legislative transformations of the last 50 years related to the recognition and exclusion towards indigenous peoples in our country are reviewed in an impressionistic way.

Keywords : Diversity; plurality; indigenous; recognition; exclusión.
