Abstract
MOSCOSO-FLORES, Pedro E. and AZOCAR DONOSO, Patricio. The emotional psychic of fear and the affective politicization of the capitalistic episteme. Andamios [online]. 2020, vol.17, n.44, pp.203-225. Epub Sep 27, 2021. ISSN 2594-1917. https://doi.org/10.29092/uacm.v17i44.797.
The objective of this article is to critically discuss the affective turn associated with cultural theory, problematizing its historicity to describe the governmental root of the dimension of the passions by means of a tension of the notions of emotion and affection, which emerge as a contingent field of study within the contemporary capitalist axiomatics. Our hypothesis is that the governmental power of capitalism resides in the efficiency with which bodies are inscribed by means of their emotionalization in a scene or fear-conditioned environment for their grouping according to the attenuation of their affective force, through an operation of translation of affects in emotions that situates, as a center of gravity for the politicization of the present.
