Abstract

PEREZ MENDOZA, Araceli. De facto control forces parallel to the government in internal forced displacement in Mexico. Andamios [online]. 2022, vol.19, n.49, pp.309-338.  Epub June 05, 2023. ISSN 2594-1917.  https://doi.org/10.29092/uacm.v19i49.932.

In this text we argued that internal forced displacement in Mexico is a consequence of the criminal actions of what I call De Facto control Forces Parallel to the government (integrated with individual, groups, and cells of drug cartels), whose operations have been allowed, due to the failure of the State to recognize the magnitude of the problem, and due to the incompetence in its prevention. The thesis is sustained on the exploration of the news discourse on the topic in a collection of journalistic pieces monitored on digital portals and analyzed from physical violence -direct and indirect- and structural violence categories (Galtung).
