Abstract

OCHOA PACHECO, Ania; MARIN MORAN, Jorge; RIVERO BREFF, Damari  and  AGUILERA SABORIT, Eva María. Physical, physical-chemical and chemical characterization of total extracts of fresh leaves from Petiveria alliacea L. with antimicrobial action. Rev. mex. cienc. farm [online]. 2013, vol.44, n.1, pp.52-59. ISSN 1870-0195.

It was made the physics, chemical-physics and chemical characterization of total extracts: 2 soft: proportions 1:8 (B3); 1:12 (B4) and 3 blended: proportions 1:4 (E1), 1:6 (E2), and 1:8 (E3); from fresh leaves of Petiveria alliacea L. and using as menstruous: hydroalcoholic solution at 80%. The parameters of the quality control determined were: organoleptics characteristics, total solids, relative density, pH, total ashes, phytochemical screening (Brunch Norm of Public Salud of Cuba), concentration of total fenols and flavonoids. The results showed the valors of the parameters in the extracts. The soft extract B3 showed bigger valors in the total solids, relative density, total ashes, total fenol and percent of the totals fenois according the fresh leaves and total flavonoid that blended extract E3.

Keywords : Total extracts; Parameters of quality control; Anamú; Technological study.
