Abstract
CANO-FLORES, Arturo. Biotransformation of triterpene with different microorganisms. Rev. mex. cienc. farm [online]. 2013, vol.44, n.2, pp.7-16. ISSN 1870-0195.
Nowadays, the application of microbiological transformations in triterpenes have made possible the obtention of new derivates with improved chemical and biological properties through the chemical functionalization of unreactive carbon atoms by procedures such as hydroxylation, glycosylation, oxidation, reduction, elimination and A ring opening through reactions of the Baeyer-Villiger type and structure rearrangements involving the transposition of a methyl group, among others, which come along with a high regio, stereo and chemo-selectivity. Moreover, it is a methodology environmentally friendly due to the reaction conditions under which they take place.
Keywords : biotransformation; bioconversions; microbial transformation; filamentous fungi; triterpene; natural products.
