Abstract

TEJEDA-ROSALES, María Elena; SANCHEZ-TEJEDA, Manuel Guillermo; SANCHEZ-TEJEDA, Juan Francisco  and  SANCHEZ-RUIZ, Juan Francisco. The pharmaceutical practice in Teotihuacan. Rev. mex. cienc. farm [online]. 2013, vol.44, n.3, pp.66-75. ISSN 1870-0195.

Teotihuacan is located among Mexico and Puebla valleys. Teotihuacan was the most important cultural, economic, political and religious center from Mesoamerica during the centuries I at IV. Although there have been many archaeological and anthropological investigations in Teotihuacan, there are few evidences of the pharmaceutical activity of Teotihuacan. In this work we give a pharmaceutical point of view about a mural found in Tepantitla, which is related with the preparation of remedies and medications.

Keywords : Prehispanic Pharmacy; Teotihuacan; History of the Pharmacy.
