Abstract

DELGADO REY, Leandro. Anarchic writings: textual practices of the Rio de la Plata literary anarchism. Culturales [online]. 2015, vol.3, n.2, pp.47-76. ISSN 2448-539X.

In this article, I analyze the anarchic writings of four rioplatenses authors who are linked by distinct means with anarchism. Firstly, I note the anarchic intervention in the records of the Argentine Alberto Ghiraldo, written during his confinement aboard a ship awaiting deportation. Secondly, I observe the syntactic and grammatical "errors" in a text by compatriot Alejandro Sux, written as a result of his confinement in a prison in Mendoza. Thirdly, I analyze the character "drift" in the draft writings of the Uruguayan Julio Herrera y Reissig. Finally, I present the dandy Roberto de las Carreras as an extreme example of anarchic actions for the way in which he put details of his private life in the public scene of Montevideo and the practice of writing where he managed to alter the boundaries between fiction and reality.

Keywords : rioplatense anarchism; anarchy; rioplatense literature; Novecientos.
