Abstract

To ensure the protection and promotion of human rights is one of the basic obligations of the authorities in constitutional States, says the author of this text. The defense and protection of human rights is done through legal channels and conducting non-judicial bodies. Thus, by the judicial system, and as a complementary tool, it has created the position of Ombudsman, which has the same purpose of protection against human rights violations. This article shows the relationship and specificity of both systems in the Mexican case.
