Abstract

PEREZ GALLARDO, Leonardo Bernardino. Family and inheritance in Cuban law: synchronous realities?. Rev. IUS [online]. 2012, vol.6, n.29, pp.150-186. ISSN 1870-2147.

Just taking a glimpse of the current law in our geographical setting allows us to realize that family-successions law tensions are visibly increasing. Family law should lead to a new law of successions, less formalist, more protective and less rigid; without neglecting its pillars, yet assuming new family forms and the whole arsenal of values these times bring about, including science and technology challenges.

Keywords : Family; inheritance; intestate succession act (ab intestato succession); marriage; non-marital union; divorce; assembled families; disability; legitimate assistance.
