Abstract

This essay does an exhaustive review of authors who have worked the decay and collapses of different civilizations, and also of the Marxist thesis on the collapse of the capitalist system. On this basis, we consider that the principal problem would be the distinction between productive and unproductive labor, and increasing manners of criminality of economic activity in our modern societies and their parasitism in relation to the actual state of capitalism. As a conclusion, the essay proposes some thread ways of thought over the long decay of capitalism.
