Abstract

NAVALLES GOMEZ, Jahir. Theoretical footpaths for a collective psychology. Polis [online]. 2008, vol.4, n.1, pp.109-143. ISSN 2594-0686.

Collective psychology is a nostalgic psychology, because it turns to the ways in which social life becomes a shared act, an affective exercise, a journey along collective expressions. But first of all, it is a psychology orientated historically, concerned with the omissions that social psychology has lodged, although it shared them in its original plot. Collective psychology is immersed in the interlocution of the disciplinary crossroads. It consolidates its historical halo interceding for those manifestations and phenomena that, charged with meaning and sense constructors, recover inasmuch the dynamic as the psycho-social processes, that from long ago suggest social life. In this manner, some preceding and precursory reflections outstand, and manage to sketch that nostalgic psychology. Its disciplinary legacy becomes a resonance on contemporary social psychology. The present essay, reminds the contributions of the most diverse interlocutors, such as Michelet, Bloch and Halbwachs, and reintroduces a psychology of "the social thing" commonly scorned, and that was once known as collective psychology.

Keywords : social psychology; interdiscipline; social life; collective psychology.
