The object of study for this document refers to the link between the concepts of urban system and urban law. The primary objective is to configure an argument that allows us to understand what implications the application of legal principles has on the organization of cities, for example, in the state of Hidalgo. Methodologically, it is necessary to describe how urban processes have developed in connection with legal principles. The main result is a broad reflection on the mentioned conceptual link. The main contribution is to generate a series of arguments to account for those aspects that produce the flourishing in urban matters and some legal considerations to consolidate it.
