Abstract

A new species, Anoda reflexa Díaz-Contreras and Cruz-Durán (Malvaceae, section Liberanoda) is described from Guerrero, Mexico. It is related to A. thurberi A. Gray and A. pubescens Schltdl. However, it differs from both in the size and color of the flower, type of stem pubescence, and geographic range. A table is included comparing the most important characters that allow the identification of A. reflexa, as well as an identification key.
