Abstract

CUPUL-MAGANA, Fabio Germán. A new species of the centipede genus Ityphilus (Chilopoda: Geophilomorpha: Ballophilidae) from Tamaulipas, Mexico. Rev. Mex. Biodiv. [online]. 2014, vol.85, n.3, pp.723-727. ISSN 2007-8706.  https://doi.org/10.7550/rmb.43796.

A new species of centipede genus Ityphilus Cook, 1899, I. cifuentesi sp. nov., is described on the basis of an unidentified male specimen collected in the El Pachón Cave, Tamaulipas, Mexico. This is the 27th species described for the genus worldwide and the second from Mexico. Also, this is third centipede species of Ballophilidae family recorded from México.
