Abstract

The third instar larva and pupa of Pelidnota lugubris LeConte (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Rutelinae: Rutelini) are described based on specimens collected in deciduous tropical forest soils in Ocolome, municipality of El Fuerte, Sinaloa, Mexico. Illustrations of diagnostic structures and a key to the known third-stage larvae of Pelidnota species are included.
