The purpose of this study is to establish a model for strategic evaluation of sustainable forest development appropriate to the sociocultural, economic and environmental conditions of our country within the framework of international and national reference regulations. Philosophical foundations of the strategic evaluation model we reanalyzed, a hierarchical system for identifying sustainability principles, criteria , indicators and verifiers at the local, regional and state levels was formed, and a strategic evaluation model of the sustainable forest development was implemented.
