Abstract

HARTWICH, Frank  and  AMPUERO RAMOS, Luis. Alianzas para la innovación: aprendizajes desde Bolivia. Rev. pueblos front. digit. [online]. 2008, vol.3, n.6, pp.239-276. ISSN 1870-4115.  https://doi.org/10.22201/cimsur.18704115e.2008.6.200.

This article describes the findings of a study on the creation and functioning of alliances aimed at promoting innovation and developed among agricultural producers, the government and a series of actors. Sixteen innovation alliances in Bolivia’s rural sector were evaluated, with the aim of better understanding: a) the context in which they are created, b) how they function in relation to innovation, c) how the collaborative process works, and d) the evolution of these alliances over time. The results demonstrate that there are enough experiences in establishing alliances to be able to identify factors that promote innovation through them, such as, supporting greater understanding among members as to their purpose, working towards ongoing development of alliances, improving interaction among its members, and assuring their respective contributions.

Keywords : alliances; innovation; local development.
