Abstract

CLOT, Jean  and  MARTINEZ VELASCO, Germán. Cuban migrants’ «odyssey» in the Americas: modalities, routes and stages of migration. Rev. pueblos front. digit. [online]. 2018, vol.13, e345. ISSN 1870-4115.  https://doi.org/10.22201/cimsur.18704115e.2018.v13.345.

The purpose of this article is to examine the trends and manifestations of Cuban migration to the United States in recent years. We emphasize new migratory routes and stages in the Americas, as well as the migration management in transit countries. Furthermore, we show how the migration governance affects migration projects, experiences and trajectories, and identify Cuban migrants’ adaptation responses in the microsocial level.

Keywords : Cuban migration; transit migration; migration management; migration experience.
