Social security is a human right recognized in international instruments and also in the internal legislation of each Western country in the world. This has been possible thanks to the constant development perceptible in the events related to the generation, administration and application of social security law. In this context, social security can present advances or setbacks if it is analyzed in a given period. Due to the above, this report deals with presenting the most important events of 2021 in this area in Mexico, from the perspective they give: changes in social programs and policies; the main resolutions of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation; legislative reforms and advances in international social security.
