Abstract

MENDIZABAL BERMUDEZ, Gabriela. Report: social security in Mexico, 2022. Rev. latinoam. derecho soc [online]. 2023, n.37, pp.219-251.  Epub Jan 12, 2024. ISSN 2448-7899.  https://doi.org/10.22201/iij.24487899e.2023.37.18546.

In 2022, the Mexican social law presented representative advances. Examples of these are: after several decades without a reform, the number of vacation days granted to workers has been increased; the process of reforming the social security for domestic workers continues; some resolutions of the Supreme Court that contribute to the progressive recognition of the human right to social security were issued and the International Social Security Law experienced some advances. These examples are only some of the topics analyzed in this report, which allow us to know in greater detail the legislative and jurisdictional criteria that prevail in Mexico and that can impact and influence other States through the study of comparative law. The research methods applied for its structure and development are deductive and descriptive.

Keywords : social security; maternity; domestic workers.
