Abstract

This article presents the results of the first stage of an investigation conducted at a public university and a private in the city of Xalapa, on the social representations of climate change in eight undergraduate students. The aim was to identify whether there are discrepancies in the representation arising from different socioeconomic and cultural contexts that have schools. In this phase associative letters 234 applied to students. The analysis was interpretative and descriptive information on a quantitative approach. It was found that the differences in context are not influencing the representation of the college students and circulating information among young people of both universities is the same. In the article the theoretical basis, methodology and results, and the initial findings of the study are briefly described.
