Abstract
MOCTEZUMA RAMIREZ, Evelyn; YUREN, Teresa and SAENGER PEDRERO, Cony-Brunhilde. The construction of the speech on cultural diversity in public universities of South Center of Mexico: an exploration. CPU-e. Rev. Investig. Educ [online]. 2018, n.26, pp.190-213. ISSN 1870-5308.
This article presents the results of the review of the official documents of the south-center Public Universities of Mexico in order to problematize what is established about the treatment of cultural diversity and identify trends that prevail and their implications. We used ATLAS.ti and Mendeley, which facilitated the systematization, coding and comparison of fragments of the discourse and followed the technique of associative groupings. The results show that transversality, academic exchange and the awareness are some strategies to deal with cultural diversity within the Public Universities. The prevailing tendencies do no favor the cultural polyvalence or diversity; they tend to reproduce the structures and contribute to a uncritical internationalization. It is recommended that the public universities work on the issue of diversity with greater clarity and reflexivity to achieve strategies that promote equity.
