Abstract

GARZA-BUENO, Laura Elena. A new paradigm in human resource training as a rural development strategy. agric. soc. desarro [online]. 2006, vol.3, n.2, pp.155-173. ISSN 1870-5472.

Dramatic changes that occur in the world in the most diverse areas demand fast transformations in human resource training; in the rural sector, this means that training is no more a secondary factor linked to technical skills, to focus on the participant's cognitive development and, therefore, on his/her abilities. In that sense, the training experience of trainers (identified today as service Providers - sP) which was agreed upon by Financiera Rural and the colegio de Postgraduados, represents an effort to develop a new training paradigm with the distinctive features of its methodological orientation and its search for sP's better professional performance that should reflect on a better insertion into the environment of productive units or their clients' businesses: producers and other economic agents in the rural sector.

Keywords : Training; service providers; working-learning.
